Conn is a graduate ecologist with Woodrow. Originally from Dublin, he took a Masters course in Environmental Resource Management with UCD from 2020-2021. Due to government restrictions at the time, Conn’s first practical ecological experience was surveying sea birds near his home on Dublin Bay.
Since then, Conn has volunteered with Bird Watch Ireland’s little tern breeding projects at Kilcoole and Portrane. He has taken part in the IRSG’s Hen Harrier Survey in the Wicklow Mountains. He has also done transect surveys as part of the NBDC’s National Red Grouse Survey, where his grouse mating call recordings were sadly ignored.
In his spare time, Conn enjoys reading, meeting friends and trying to cook better.
