Dr Philip Doddy is an ecologist with a PhD in Aquatic Sciences, a BSc (Hons) in Freshwater & Marine Biology, and a diploma in Horticulture. He has carried out research projects on the ecology and monitoring of lakes, and on biodiversity and ecological succession on limestone pavements in the Burren. During his PhD researching microbial communities as bioindicators in limestone lakes, Philip also worked as a part-time lecturer in GMIT, teaching lab classes including invertebrate ID, dissections, microscopy, algal ID, taxonomy. He also has nine years prior experience working in a variety of horticultural jobs undertaking various gardening workshops and training, giving horticultural advice and taking care of various plant species. Since joining Woodrow, he has worked on a variety of projects, including habitat restoration monitoring, botanical surveys, and habitat mapping.
