Rachel in the field

We were delighted to offer Rachel Irwin a job allowing her to return home to work in Sligo. Rachel, Assistant Ecologist, manages the deployment and collection of static bat detectors for numerous large sites, including wind farms, both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. She regularly assists with report writing for specialist reports including Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) and to inform the Appropriate Assessment (AA) process. We plan to develop her farming background with her ecological knowledge to offer a particular skillset for this sector. She is a Qualifying member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

This is a rare shot of her without a weather station, bat equipment or indeed a sledgehammer
