Róisín O’Connell

Róisín O’Connell has started working as Seasonal Bat Surveyor with Woodrow Sustainable Solutions APEM, in May 2022. Having graduated with a BSc in Environmental Science from IT Sligo (now ATU) in 2020 she has been working three years in the environmental research and ecological consultancy sector. During those years she has contributed to AA screenings, Natura Impact Statements and Environmental Impact Assessments. Although bats are her area of knowledge she maintains a deep interest in all of the multifaceted aspects within ecology. Róisín also has experience in teaching and future plans are in the pipe line to start her own forest school for children combining both her passions for nature and education.

When not working Róisín loves to hike, bike and swim but nurtures the hope of mastering diving and surfing skills now that she’s in Irelands top surfing spot.
