​Róisín takes every opportunity to enjoy the county’s coastline since she joined Woodrow in Spring 2017. Róisín has nearly eight years’ practice working as an ecological consultant in the UK and Ireland with experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and mitigation design for development projects including national road schemes, overhead power lines, grid connection, railway schemes, water treatment plants, other infrastructure projects and smaller scale commercial and residential developments.

Róisín has undertaken and managed a wide range of field surveys including protected species surveys (e.g. badger, otter, newts, bats) and habitat surveys (including National Vegetation Classifications). She is also an experienced Ecological Clerk of Works for projects such as national road schemes and electricity supply schemes as well as for smaller infrastructure projects. On a voluntary basis she conducts surveys for Birdwatch Ireland including the Irish Wetland Bird Survey (I-Webs), Countryside Bird Survey (CBS) and the National Peregrine Survey for the Irish Raptor Study Group (IRSG), as well as plant recording surveys for the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI). Róisín is a project manager and field ecologist and carries out multidisciplinary surveys as well as specialising in habitat and botanical identification.
