Here’s something to brighten everyone’s mood during these challenging times! While the country remains in lock-down, spring is in full swing, with March hares being spotted throughout the country. This great photo was taken on a bog near the home of one of our colleagues. The breeding season for these Irish hares begins in March and extends into early April, during which time females can often be seen ‘boxing’ off the advances of unworthy males. Keep an eye out in your local area for this charismatic species, within 2km of course!
