Women on the Water

Our Field-work co-ordinator Rachael O’Dwyer is also an active member of Rosses Point Yacht Club and she has encouraged some of us to join her on the ocean waves at different times this Summer.  Juliane and Sharon joined the yacht club’s ‘Women on the Water’ training weekend over the August Bank Holiday weekend with 12 hours on (and though not planned) and occasionally in the water.  In the picture Rachael (extreme left) is at the Helm of Lady Caroline bringing 3 of the trainees into Sligo Bay.  This includes Sharon in disguise with glasses and silly hat!
