David McGarrell

David has joined Woodrow in 2023 as an assistant ecologist. Having previously worked within the field of Ornithology, where he gained valuable experience working Vantage point surveys throughout a wide range of habitats in an expanse covering much of the West, North west and midlands regions. He gained a BSc in Environmental Science & Management (Coastal Management Major) at Southern Cross University (SCU), NSW, Australia, & a BSC in Outdoor Education & Leisure (GMIT), David is very much at home within the Outdoor environment, whether that be conducting Vantage point surveys, habitat monitoring, or instructing in a wide range of adventure sport activities. David’s lifelong passion has always been surfing, where he is involved within surf coach development and training, as well as continually searching for new waves within Ireland’s expansive coastline.
