James, a native of County Sligo, is an Assistant Ecologist at Woodrow APEM group. With a PhD in Aquatic Sciences from GMIT Galway, James’s background largely pertains to freshwater ecology, where he has experience in freshwater fisheries surveys, benthic macroinvertebrate assessments, white-clawed crayfish surveys and working with otter. Having prior experience surveying barn owl in the west of Ireland, James also likes to dabble in other aspects of ecology and is particularly interested in furthering his skills in ornithology and botany. When James is not working or submitting the last of the research papers from his PhD, he enjoys following sport, bird watching and practicing his photography skills.
