Patrick joined Woodrow in 2024, initially in a freelance capacity, bringing extensive experience as a field ornithologist and conservation specialist with a focus on seabird and waterbird populations within protected areas. Before joining the team, he spent several years working across Ireland and Scotland as a freelance ecologist and with NatureScot, gaining deep expertise in survey design, licensing, and protected site monitoring for key avian species and habitats.

With over five years of experience leading large-scale surveys, Patrick has contributed directly to Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Special Protection Area (SPA) condition monitoring. He has a proven track record of producing evidence-based reports that directly inform conservation management and regulatory compliance for features within protected sites. Patrick also brings a strong command of GIS mapping, data analysis, and regulatory compliance, ensuring technical rigor and high-quality reporting across all projects.

Outside of work, Patrick is an active naturalist who enjoys birdwatching, exploring the coasts and hiking.
